I am getting the following error on a report scheduled to run in CE10.

Error in formula <Last Adjustment>. 'if isnull({EVENT_LAST_ADJUSTMENT_WRITEOFF.LAST_ADJUSTMENT_DATE}) then #01/01/1969# ' This field name is not known. Details: errorKind. File e:\temp\procSched\expcrnt1.hns.com.report\~tmpa0c38042093aa0.rpt.

When I view the report in CR10 and run a "Verify Database" I get the following message:

"The database table "EVENT_LAST_ADJUSTMENT_WRITEOFF" cannot be found, Proceed to remove this table from the report?"

I say "NO" because the table does exist, and the ID/PWD that I am using to access the database has rights to the table in question. I can execute the report in CR10 and it runs fine.

However, when the report is run through CE10 it fails apparently because it thinks the table isn't there.

Anyone else see this type of error?

CR is clearly telling yo uthat the table does NOT exist in the specified location.

You didn't bother to state where this table is, nor the type of database or connectivity, so it's pretty hard for anyone to assist you.

Perhaps the table has been moved? The user doesn't rights to the table?

If CR says the table isn't there, than CE isn't going to find it either, once you can locate the table from CR, and CE is similarly configured, you'll be fine.

Synapse,

Sorry about that - I have been having a number of issues with CE10 and it has me a little flustered. The database is Oracle9i and is located on a seperate database server outside of the crystal architecture. The table is in the schema associated with the ID and I had the DBA verify that rights are granted to the table. The funny thing is this same table is used in several other reports that are not having any problems - either in CE or CR. That is what has me so perplexed.

Open the report in CR and do another Verify Database.

If this fails, use the Set Database Location to go repoint to the offending table, if it doesn't show up in the list, then your dba might be mistaken.

Check the user/pw for the other reports, perhaps they differ, or you're using a column that is not being used in the other reports. Crystal only pulls columns required for the report.

Using certain types of connectivity may cause the problem, try switching, and certain data types will cause Crystal to throw up an error, often time an incorrect one.

Hey Ken,

I just read about your problem in the lastest Service Pack for Crystal Reports/Enterprise.

Read the associated pdf file at:
the article section has an identifier: ADAPT 00217754

This is probably a bug in CE10.

I hope this helps you!
