Does anyone know hot to fix this error or what's causing it?

Hi pechenegs, open a command prompt & type sfc /scannow
Have your xp cd handy.

will this fix it, it's not me that's got the problem but some other person on another board?

I'd be surprised if it didn't, but there could be other issues. inetcpl.cpl is the Internet Options section of both IE & Control Panel. If need be, a new one could be manually extracted or a reinstall of IE would probably also work. But System File Checker should be the first & safest course of action.

ok, cheers, I tried that, the second error is after me uploading my copy of that file? I had him delete the other as it was tagged as a virus!
