AE0004 Failed to open file <C:\exchsrvr\mdbdata\tmp.edb>. RC=32, The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

AE0004 Failed to open file <C:\exchsrvr\mdbdata\edb.log>. RC=32, The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Lets see what I can help with today

1) AE0004 Failed to open file <F:\MSSQL7\Data\master.mdf>. RC=32, The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Fix: Do you have the Microsoft SQL Agent? If not, get it. You can not backup SQL databases w/o it unless you stop the SQL services on the SQL server. Even then, I don't know how successful a restore would be.

2)AE0007 File C:\Exchange Server Setup.log does not exist.

Fix: Verify that the file does indeed exist. I'm not sure why, but sometimes ArcServe shows files that no longer exist. If it does not exist any longer, simply un-check that file for the backup job. If it does exist, then decide if it's an important file or not. If not, delete it and tell AS to skip it. If it's an important file that does exist in the path that AS is looking in, then I'm all out of ideas.

I don't use it, but errors 3,4, and 5 sound like Exchange errors. Do you have the Backup Agent for Exchange? If not, get it. I don't think you can get good backups of Exchange w/o it.

Hope this helps... Monkeylizard
