Error importing items in ACCPAC 5.3A

What database and collation order? That strange error looks like you have case sensitive records.

You have duplicate units of measure on items. You may have "each" and "EACH" and these would be considered the same on MS SQL with a CI collation order.

my case is like this :
- i have one item A with UOM : PCS in Items
- then i want to import five more items (B,C,D,E,F) with UOM : PCS too
- i import into Items using excel (.xls) format
- and when i import it, the error happened

what should i do ettienne ?

thanks

Probably your spreadsheet isn't formatted correctly. Make sure the item numbers on the item tab are the same as the item numbers on the units tab.

@tuba2007
i use the excel file that i exported for item A, then i edit for item B,C,D,E,F.
the item numbers on item tab are same as the item numbers on the units tab and the STOCKUNIT column on items tabs is also the same with the UNIT column on the unit of measures tabs ==> PCS
how about it ?
i use MSSQL and what collation order i must use to prevent this error ? Case sensitive or case insensitive ?
thanks.

You should use CI unless you're running Accpac in Chinese. So, I'm not sure why you're having this problem, it's certainly not a common error, people do this all the time.

ok, i will try to set collation as CI.
I am running Accpac in English.

hi tuba2007,
my MSSQL collation order is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
but still the same error

how about it ?

Run RVSPY to get more details. There is something strange with your spreadsheet.
