This error is occuring when importing a table with a field "smalldatetime". I read through this and tried to convert to char, then to date/time with no luck. I did export to Excel just to see how it looks and the field that is giving me the problem (date shows in Access as 1/1/1841 shows as nothing). What might be the cause of this?

Error importing from Access 2000 to SQL 2000

So I figured this one out. I had to rebuild the tables and I managed to get the Transformation of the table to work properly...now the fields are converted to datetime and work just fine. The issue was that there were dates with the year 1841 which are out of the range for smalldatetime. And as long as these tables are not being used after 100 years from now, this problem won't come up again!
