Hi,

I have a database that will be given to people working out in the field. To help me deal with any errors I'd like to get a message box to indicate the name of the procedure in which the error occurred as well as the standard error number, description, etc.

Can anyone tell me how I can get the procedure name into a string so I can add this to the message box.

Thanks

There is no way of getting the name of the procedure, unless as part of your code, you populate it at the start of each procedure (sub or function) call.
The disadvantage is that you have to ensure it is set in your own code.

Thanks dhhokum. I've downloaded mztools and they're great - no just for error handling but for loads of other tasks too.
