Error handling - Can anyone suggest a good article?

I have made a big mistake and left my error handling for last in my project. It can't be put off any longer, and I was hoping someone could point me to a good, comprehensive tutorial or FAQ on the subject. I know a mishmash of stuff, but I would like to see the standard, best practice approach.

Here's a good overview of the options available for error handling in .NET. We use application level error trapping in the global.asax.cs to log errors to a database and log file, fire of an email and redirect the user to a generic error page.
