google sauggests a missing/changed assembly name in the solution or a .NET framework bug. What version of .NET are you running?

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

Thanks for the info Geoff,

We are using .Net 2.0

Could you shoot me over the link you were referencing?

Thanks

Hi Jay - I actually found a few links on google - seems to be not necessarily related to Reporting Services per se - more the hook ins to .NET. Unfortunately I couldn;t make a lot of sense of it as I'm not really a .NET guy - more SQL and reporting

I searched in google on

"Reporting Services Error Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation"

Hope this helps

Thanks again Geoff!

Same here ... Production DBA mostly.

I too have not been able to pin down the issue.

Seems like every link I follow has a "slight" resemblence to my issue but not exactly.

I have found many solutions that require setting the timeout sessions on ASP and IIS, to getting the latest .Net patches to appending more parameters on the URL.

Hmmm ...

I will keep on trudging ahead and will post my findings as they become more clear.

Thanks

This site may be worth a look - some of the MS SSRS developers answer questions here:

Have got some very useful info from it before
