Forgive me if this has already been posted and answered, but the search function on this forum has been down for a few days.

Anyway, all of a sudden out of the blue I can't run any reports in my Crystal Enterprise v.10. Whenever I try to run any report, it returns the error: Failed to Find an Available Report Application Server

Not sure why this is happening, when I view all the objects in the Crystal COnfiguration Manager (and the Services panel of the server) they're all up and running.

Any suggestions or help on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you are in a clustered environment...shutdown one of the RAS servers. Make sure the remaining RAS server that is up and running is indeed enabled. Go to the CCM (Win 32 snap-in tool) and log in as administrator...make sure the RAS is enabled. Finally, make sure you have a legit RAS key installed...this is on top of your CE10 keycode.

I'm kinda scratching my head here....the RAS is not needed in order to run/generate reports. The RAS is for those that view reports using the Advanced DHTML viewer or want to Modify reports using the RAS wizard or Crystal Reports Explorer 10.5. If you are getting this error when trying to VIEW the report..then go to your preferences and make sure you are using the DHTML viewer or Active X viewer. This error should only be popping when launching a Crystal viewer...or attemtping to modify a report using the RAS wizard. Hope this helps.

Sorry, when I said I was getting the error when trying to VIEW a report, I meant from within CE10. Like I would go to OBJECTS, then find the report, and click PREVIEW. I think that does preview the report in the DHTML viewer.

Still, this is a problem b/c that's how I have my .csp site set up to view the reports I specify.

Not sure about having a RAS key installed, where do I get that? I only have 1 key installed, that's the non-expiring product key. I didn't think I needed any additional keys? Like I said, I've been using this set up before. The only difference is that my initial 30-day key expired, so I had to remove that, and add the non-expiring key. Then all this happened. Do you think it could be related to new key I installed? Do I need to re-install the entire product?

Thanks so much!
