Ok this doesn't make sense - I created one dts package that exported the data to an excel file (on one computer) and when I tried to do the second one (on a different computer) I keep getting an error on the destination tab where it tries to create the table (or fields in the excel spreadsheet) as follows:

Microsoft Jet Database engine
could not find object make sure the object exists and that you spell it's name correctly and the path name correctly.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Does the destination object really exist? Check the connection properties for the destination Excel spreadsheet. Are you using a drive letter (O:) or a UNC path (\\Server\ShareName\)? The drive mappings often change from user to user and workstation to workstation. Use the UNC path in the destination connection and retry. Good luck!

Every time I lose my mind, I wonder
if it's really worth finding.

Actually I am just trying to put it on my c drive -- I tried creating the file and without -- it worked without the first time. I tried running a different table and it worked fine....
