error during day end

when doing a day end the following error occur can anyone assit me ??? "posting journals. database error(operation=INSERT, error=2)
internal error. cannot insert audit record (2343 oppost1.c)

That normally means you have a corrupted table in the database. Run database verify.

Or, there's a stalled backup running, and one of the OEAU* tables is locked by the backup program. Bottom line is you may have to restore from backup.
