I've tried to create a report for an web application with Crystal Reports 7.0. The data source is a database on a MS SQL Server 7.0 and my web server (IIS 5.0) is runnig on a Windows 2000 Server.
When i start the report from the windows explorer everything is fine, i'm prompted to connect to the database and all data is display.
But:
When i try to display the report via my ASP web site (just a parameter, report title...) i get an error message:
"Starting Background processing failed"
Error number: 20614
Who can help me??

This can be caused from several things.

I would start here:
The web server has several CR 'Services' that must be running before it can generate a report. These services are part of the WCS (Web Component Server). Follow the administrative guild to insure that CR is installed properly, and that these services are running.
