Error creating object: when trying to sync Card Scan with Outlook

Hi whenever we try to sync our Card Scan program with Outlook contacts, we get this error in a pop up box...

Error creating Outlook object: "Outlook.Application". Error code: 0x8002801d. Error message: Library not registered. with the OK button on the box.

I have done some searching but can't seem to find out what we can do to fix. Do any of you have a clue on what I can try here? thanks!!
