Error creating Installation Template

In GP 8.0, when we try to create an installation template, we get the following error:

Exception_Class_Script_Error
Script_CMD_Extern
DexUsedSpace@GPWIN32.DLL

We get this exact same message on two completely different installations. Any idea on how to get around this error?
