I am getting an error message when I attempt to create a DNS zone. I have other existing DNS servers in the domain but when I try to create one on my new DC I get this error:

"The zone cannot be replicated to all DNS servers in the blank.com Active Directory domain because the required application directory partition does not exist. Only Enterprise Administrators have the appropriate permissions to create an application directory partition.

To store this zone in a domain container until the partition is created, close this message, and then click Replicate to All Domain Controllers in the Active Directory Domain option".

If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

Obvious question - are you logged in with an account that has Enterprise Admin authority?

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Yes... the user is a member of the Enterprise Admin group.

Have someone else from the Enterprise Admin group try to add the new zone.
