ERROR: Could not open interface file

Hi
im using AIX on RS6000
writing C Code that use sybase server called dvlunix.

so far i wrote the code and debuged it on windows
and it worked ok

the Database still and always was on the AIX machine
only this time i try to compile run the code on the aix machine

and when i call to dbopen function i get the error :
Could not open interface file

what is that error?????

HELP!!!
