Hello All,
I am trying to install solaris 8. Towards the end of installation I get the following error:

Error: Could not open file /a/etc/vfstab
Could not create the file system mount table (/etc/vfstab).

The installation then terminates. This had happened twice. Could anyone tell why this is and how I can resolve this issue. Thank all...

very strange,
check the disk (even if i would expect an
oder error msg)
/a is the temporary mount dir for the installation
procedure
how are you installing, cd, jumpstart ...

don't forget, RTFMP :) guggach

which hardware, which Solaris 8 Version?

Best Regards, Franz
