Error Codes

Hi!
I need an error code refernce to AIX OS.
My problem is I don't know for sure what is the source of the error codes - OS or Rexx interpreter, or other.
I had difficulty understanding where error codes came from in two cases:
1. A rexx program calls "sendmail" and the command fails, with error code - "-16"
2. I'm trying to start up a server (netscape server on the AIX), and it fails with error code "-8185".

help would be most appriciated.

In my point of view the vest place to search for error meassages is "info explorer"
With info explorer installed and xwindows env. enter "info -h -l" and then search
for your required strings.Otherwise you can also take a look on "problem solving
guide and refernce"online on ibm website for aix.
