When I have an alarm I look at the errors to help me figure out what happened. I always have a problem finding the error codes and aux data in the docs. Is there a doc that just deals with this. Thanks in advance.

Nope.

The maintenance manuals are all there is.

The easiest thing to do is get acopy of the PDF version.

It's a bit easier to find the codes if you do a PDF file search.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Also, try to search for the maintenance object name in the maintenance manuals instead of the specific error. The same error number can be in the manual many, many times.

For example, for this error:

01A01 UDS1-BD 1281 03/25/04:06 04/12/13:48 255 0 4 a y

Look in the maintenance manual for "UDS1-BD" first. Once you find that section, you can usually just scroll down for the list of possible errors associated with that maintenance object.

Hope that helps.

but not all error codes are public. If you don't find it, you will need to call your AVAYA rep.

We actually use AVAYA and I asked them about this, and they said they don't publish all codes for public viewing.

Above I have a couple of links that will help you resolve your error/alarm codes. The codes that have been mentioned that are not listed are generally for Tier 3 use and you would more than likely need a higher level of permissions that you have to use them. Anyways this should give you the help you need.
