check TNB, swap phone over
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
Thanks, I did look that code up but because of the extra 0 wasn't sure if that was the correct error code, but I couldn't find just 080? There is definetly no AOM on the phone. I'm going to have to swap the TN...Thanks!
I have been having this same error on multiple sets that all the sudden started, and the trouble is growing to more sets every week. I tried switching TNs and sets and uploading newest firmware to the sets. Still getting error, sets disabled and the sets go off hook on speaker and dial out on their own too! The vendor says its our wiring which I have checked out already. Not to mention this trouble is in multiple buildings so I dont think the wiring in all cable pairs is going bad at once. They are also on different cards so I dont think it is a card specific issue. Im leaning toward something in the PBX but what??
thanks for the quick reply!
Actually I should have said that these are all 3902 sets. No one has done any moving of sets other than me trying a new one to resolve the trouble. Nothing has been changed in programming on them either, yet for some reason all of them start doing this at different building locations (all coming off the one PBX). At present about 15 sets are doing it out of 500+ users. They are all at different rooms, buildings, and on several different cards slots and shelves. I had my vendor down to check it and they said it was an add on module error also but the 3902 dont have any modules added to them. THey couldnt resolve it. Now they are opening a ticket with Nortel since I did proof out our wiring. Its been open since last week without any answers yet. This is a strange one.
that is strange one, the idu shows a 3902 and the set is programed as a 3902?.. might be a patch but not onei have seen, if the switch is an 11, i would have already done an ini.. let us know if nortel finds a problem...btw nortel responded to your vendor withen 24 hours, the vendor needs a little probling
I would confirm the firmware level on these sets in LD 32 matches what is on your system, not lower or higher, and also have your vendor do a patch audit on your switch to make sure you have the current DepList patchs loaded.
