Hello,

I am running Windows 98 and I have a USRobotics 56K Win INT modem. However, it seems like about every 2 out of 5 times I try to connect, I get the error code #1010 Cause #2 The DSP code could not be uploaded. After that it will show the no dial tone error #630 whenever I try to connect again. The only way I can connect is if I restart the computer, then it still might not work. This is VERY annoying and I don't know what to do. I have heard that many other users of this type of modem also receive the same symptoms. PLEASE HELP!

Digital Signal Processing(DSP). The DSP board itself is fully self contained, with power supply, stereo audio inputs and outputs, and a removable memory chip. Its available for about $89.00 from many electronics distributors, and is made by Analog Devices, Inc. A unique synthesis engine. Sound and algorithms...hmmm?
What COM port and IRQ are your modem using?

Does the modem work in a different PC?
Will it work using display card without drivers set at 16 colours?
Do you per chance use an nVidia TNT Vanta ver.5.22?
