I can't print anything. The message I get is "printer timeout error"
I also don't have HP Toolkit on my computer.

error code: printer timeout error. Will not print

Hi
I guess that you are on an HP server and the scheduler is runnig, and one particular printer won't print.
First of all can you ping the printer or it's print server by IP address, if so but you can't ping by name you have a problem with name resolution. If not you have a connection issue.
If this is using a print server, is there a physical problem with the port, or even it's configuration. Have you tried configuring it on another port.
Is this printer local to this box or remote to another?
....and finally.....and this has happened more than once during my time in support - Do you know first hand that the network cable is plugged in nice and secure to the printer and that nobody has turned the printer off....
Post as much info as possible and we'll try to help
