Error Code 9: complains that I need to install extension

Hi,

I'm running NetBackup DataCenter v3.4 and am trying to back up Exchange Server 5.5 which is on another server. I installed the Exchange Admin program and have the agent installed as well. Is there something else I'm supposed to install?

I am getting this problem after I have upgraded from 3.4 to 4.5G
- I can perform a drive backup, but not an exchange one.

this is a problem that is easily fixed. You need to put in the install cd. click on databse extensions and choose the database extension for exchange. that will install and fix your problems. let me know if this helps

Another thing to remember - When you install/Upgrade to Veritas 4.5, Install the program, install the agent, upgrade to the latest MP - Currently at 2.

The MP generally upgrades the agent as well.
