Hi all,
Recently set up ISA2004 STD on Windows Server 2003 and configured ISA as a web proxy only. I have installed and configured a web filtering product on the same machine (Websense) and an AV product (Sophos)
All looking ok except that at intermittent times the FW Service stops and restarts itself for no appararent reason. The only entry I found in the event log is below
"Error code 14079. Due to an unexpected error, the service fwsrv stopped responding to all requests. Stop the service or the corresponding process if it does not respond, and then start it again. Check the Windows event Viewer for related error messages"
After about 10 minutes of no connectivity,the service then seems to fix itself and restarts. There are no other Event log messages around this time, so the "helpful" description above is no help
Ive found an article on ISA2000 that says it could be either the AV software or the web filtering software causing a conflict with the log file...there advice is to switch off the AV or web filterting, as Im sure you can imagine this is not an option as this is our Proxy internet gateway and thus needs these products
Anyone else getting this problem, and have any ideas of a workaround?
