error code 0016 on merlin messaging in error log on legend

Hi all,

I have an issue where the error log on the magix is stating 0016 dual ram failure pointed at a merlin messaging(that slot). Is this a bad mail? Is it a waste of time to board renumber, etc? Thanks in advance.

Many MAGIX boards utilize a "dual port ram" chip (of some flavor) in their circuitry.

Set recognition (oh, you're an MLX-5D) by the station's board is one example. These chips are essential for queueing, message buffering and interrupt handling.
