Hi,

I have a terminal server which has been working well up to now, i just added a new user which cant run any programs stored on a network drive.

Share permissions for netowrk drive, everyone - full control
NTFS permissions =
users -full control
administrators -full control
system -full control

I have tried all sorts, even upto making the user a domain admin. I also reset all the permissions on the folder.

the actual error is

"windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item."

Please Help

Create a "Trusted Sites" policy and add the target server with the exe's to the policy. Apply the policy to any users which need to run exe's from that source server.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

PS: One way to quickly test that theory is while logged in to the Terminal Server as that user, add the source server to the Trusted Sites in IE and then attempt to run the exe.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

Cheers thanks, adding it to the trusted sites fixed it wonderfully. Temporarily fixed that way will sort out a policy etc later.
