I have a Windows 2000 machine connected to my network. During boot up I get an error box saying "Setup was unable to open information file \\SERVERNAME\clients\response\Sales01\clioc.inf The specific error code is 0x3 at 7620432". When I look at the files listed in \\SERVERNAME\clients\response\ I find all the names of everyone with profiles on our network, but the name Sales01 in the error message is the name of the computer. Do I need to set this to find the file for the person logging in and if so, how?

are you using roaming profiles? It sounds like you are. If so you would edit the users profile on the server under USERMANGER FOR DOMAINS. Go into the users profile there. you just have to edit the path that has been selected and changed it to the proper direction.

Thank you no-one-important,

I checked on the server in USER MANAGER FOR DOMAINS and clicked on the name of the user. When I looked under profile the User Profile Path is empty, Logon Script Name has "SmallBusiness\sdial.bat", the Local Path in the Home Directory section radio button is checked but there's nothing in the text box, and the rest of the boxes are all empty.

The Message box that appears on the users computer is titled "NT Network Setup", so I think were on the right path.

Where would be another place to look?

Thanks again,

Jeffrey
