i encountered probs while booting win 2000
it loads for a while and gives mi this error message

cannot find winnt/system32/config/systemced
the file is missing or corrupted

i've tried finding this file in another win 2000
system but i can't find the file

i believe that there is a file which contains
details abt which files to be boot when startup
and that file contains a boot file with an invalid filename

anyone knows what this file is called?(the file which tells
the system wat files to boot when startup)

i'm open to any suggestions as well
thanks in advance

I had a similar problem and had to resort to running the set-up disks (or boot from the WinwK CD) and select the repair option, using the Emergency repair disk. GF

thanks markcc and gfincati

i've solved the prob :)

i tried gfincati's method but it
doesnt work so
i just renamed the winnt/system32/config/system
to winnt/system32/config/systemced
and it works :)
