Can anyone tell me what this error message means?
When I open my Pagemaker document a yellow error box displays which says; (Bad profile was repaired. Save publication and check profile assignments).

FYI
I’ve already tried the diagnostic recompose solution for repairing damaged publications.

Is there anything else I can do before I start copying and pasting to a new document?

If you copy and paste one page at a time to a new doc, in a new folder, and if possible on a different drive, you should have no problem. You have some low level corruption, and it could be caused by anything.

A few things that help maintain a good workflow and help eliminate this sort of problem in the future:
1. Always place graphics to a doc, never copy/paste
2. Always use EPS or TIF graphics
3. Never place graphics from over a network, work locally
4. Always start with a fresh doc or template, don't edit the same doc over and over even if you are using it as a template.
When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
