We upgraded from Oracle 9i to 10g. I upgraded the RMAN db to 10g and when I try to run backups I get the following error:

starting full resync of recovery catalog
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of allocate command at 08/07/2006 16:08:55
RMAN-03014: implicit resync of recovery catalog failed
RMAN-03009: failure of full resync command on default channel at 08/07/2006 16:0
8:55
ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("RMAN_PDB01"."BSF"."MODIFICATION_TIME")

Recovery Manager complete.
What do I need to do to be able to backup my oracle database, the rman db appears to be bakcing up just fine.
I am not a dba, just trying to help out, so explicit commands would be great.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
David

Hi David,

You also need to upgrade the catalog itself (the schema holding data for rman) too.
Connect to the recovery catalog from your target database machine and issue
Code:
upgrade catalog
twice (you are prompted for the second)
