Hi dear
I want to remove file from /var/tmp/Ex68364 by using rm command rm /var/tmp/Ex68364 but i can't removed and i saw the error
rm: 0653-609 Cannot remove Ex68364.
Invalid file system control data detected.

what do I do? please

thanks

hi,
probably some fs problems, try to
fsck -y /var
probably you have to umount /var , then retry with fsck.
may be that there are processes running on /var,
such spooler,.... Suspend them (stopsrc -g spooler)
or wait for the right moment
and restart box, and repeat commands.

bye
vic

thanks sir
i run the commands :
# fsck -y /var

The current volume is: /dev/hd9var
File system is currently mounted.
Unable to read primary superblock.
Unable to read either superblock.

after this run the command
# umount /var
umount: 0506-349 Cannot unmount /dev/hd9var: The requested resource is busy.

i can run the command
fuser -k /var

and run umount command

Have you tried to login in maintenance mode and do the fsck?

hi,

with /var umounted, repeat the

# fsck -y /var

If you have still problem,
you need to start in servce mode,
booting from CDROM and choosing to
"start shell before mounting fsW

bye
