I support an older asp application which has been running fine when accessed from our users' WIN2000 machines. We are in the process of an upgrade to WINXP, and these new machines have errors when running the app. I am looking for ideas of where the problem might be coming from. Are there some settings of the users machines that I should be looking at?

TIA.

Holly

Further information...when I run the application through Firefox, I get no errors, but when I run it through IE, I get errors.

I get a variety of messages depending on where I am in the program, but one example is:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'

That's just the error code. Below that should be the error message and line number. You should post that, as well as the code leading up to the line number indicated.

I get where you are going here, but the thing is there a bunch of different error messages. I don't think there's a problem with the program itself. It runs fine when I access it from my WIN2000 machine and also when I use Firefox on my XP machine. It has been working for years. It's just when I use IE on my new XP machine that all sorts of errors come up. I'm just trying to figure out what sort of settings associated with IE6 or 7 on my XP machine could be getting in the way.

along with the error code, a line number is also shown. what's the line causing the problem?
