error after install of notes on new Win2K machine.

This is the message I am getting when attempting to run Lotus Notes 6 after installing Notes on a win2k box. The program was installed as an admin, but I am trying to open as a user. It is not a new account, just a new machine for a previous user.


"You cannot use the administration program while the Notes server is running. Either shut down the notes server (but keep the file server running) or choose the icon labeled Lotus Notes instead.

Can anyone please help?
