Hi,

I've deleted an incorrect currency code (EYP) under Common Services in Accpac 5.5 PU4.

Now when I try to create a new year under G/L periodic processing I get several error messages:

"Invalid input. Account 301450, fiscal set year 2011 for currency EYP. Currency could not be found in Common Services Currency Tables"

"Internal Error. GLYRN: Insert GLFISC2 failed.(2337 GLYRN1.C)"

How is account 301450 linked to that currency code? I checked gl transactions for that account and cannot find any transactions in that currency.
Adding the currency code back in will fix these errors but I want to delete that currency code and still be able to do a year end.

It is probably being referenced in GLAMF. Perhaps there was a transaction in the past with this currency so there are records in GLAMF but perhaps not in detail (GLPOST).

Thank you.
You are correct.
I have entries for EYP in GLAFS in column FSCSCURN.
Can I change these entries to EGP or would this create more harm then good?

Depends on whether the rates are exactly the same, and if there are subledger transactions that may be revalued. And if you also have EGP GLAFS records, then you have to merge, not change them. Make a backup before you experiment, and run GL data integrity after you're done.
