Error AE0000 Skip Invalid Shared or Volume

We have Arcserve running from a remote BDC server. This server then backups all the servers on the local domain.

Problem is that as soon as the backup starts, it reports "AE0000 Skip Invalis Shared or Volume". Have checked the share and it is set as Administrative. According to CA, they are saying that the build of the agent on the server being backed up must be the same as the build of the BDC which has Arcserve on it.

To further test the backup. Have made sure that it is running through the agent (NT) and have set it with a static IP address and through Resolve by Name.

Can any one help??

Hi,
Please make sure that you are not backing up the exchange server database through the client agent as this can be done only with the help of a database agent.
To resolve this please unselect the exchange database and then do the backup.

Hi,

The backups in question does not backup the Exchange database, all exchange jobs are on a seperate server.

This backup is not even backing up the Arcserve database.
