I am managing the antivirus updates using epolicy orchestrator 3.0.1 and have had nothing but problems from day 1. XP and 2000 clients use VSE7.1 and 7.0. We have 13 Win9x clients still using VS TC 6.x and about 3 clients using VS4.51 for various reasons. I also have Groupshield 5.2 installed.
Epolicy cannot cope with devices that are not within a LAN. As soon as updates have to be distributed to devices outside the LAN i keep getting errors, corruption messages and failures to update. The latest error has brought administartion to a complete halt.
Whenever i click on the console on the server or any remote console I get an error message "error accessing license information." I have spoken to NAI but they seem as perplexed as i am as i am running 3.0.1. This was an error that cropped up frequently in v3.0. From experience there is no point waiting for them to come up with a solution. I have over 7 calls logged with them, on each occassion i have to send them the result of a Mertool and get absolutley nothing back.
Has anyone come across this problem and does anyone have a resolution. Thanks
