Error 8604

For the past few days we've been getting the following error message:

Error 8604 Failed to start backup (DBNAME=\, EC=Backup Agent Error -- (306) "Invalid Input Path"

Can someone out ther shed some light as to why this message comes up during the nightly backup? We're currently using ARCServe 6.6
