There is one user that after 5 seconds after logging in, a pop windows comes up stating:

Groupwise Error 8101 (title bar)
"An unexpected error has occurred. Please exit and then restart Groupwise. If this error occurs repeatedly, please note the error code in the title before seeking assistance."

After closing the popup window, the groupwise seems to be functioning fine. When logging in as other users on the same computer, there are no errors; it only occurs on his computer whenever he logs in. If anyone has seen this error and have a fix please let me know. The 8101 error seems like a generic code when looking at the Novell support website indicating anything from memory, calendar, replying, authored document, etc problems.

does he get this error on another pc

ie is it to do with his mailbox or his archive

Hi Terry712

It is to do with his mailbox. It is specific to that one pc and his login username. Other users do not get the error when logging into the same computer.

We already did a fresh install but same error for this user.

I should be more clear and state that it is when the user is logging into Groupwise that the error message pops up and not as a normal Windows logon.

I did a fresh install of Groupwise but same problem.

Thanks

if that user goes to another pc though does he get the problem

is it when he logs into grpwise or is he logging into notify

He does not get the same problem. Just on his pc after logging into groupwise. No notify.

Specific to the user, specific to this pc.....it seems strange.

i would personaly re imagie the pc

there has to be something in the registry for his settings that are a miss
have you run the groupwise registry cleaner and removed all the groupwise stuff
and then reinstall gw client or did you just do a remove and then an add

I went thru the add/remove programs to remove groupwise. Ran the cleaner. Rebooted. Installed groupwise.
