Error 800

error 800 unable to establish VPN connection. the VPN server may be unreachable, or security parametrs may not be configured prperly for this connection..


Any Ideas whats happening here? some people can get in, others cant?

Its starts to connect, then just stops and throws the error message up..

Most likely cause is a hardware issue on the client side. Cisco & Linksys (and a few lesser known vendors) had firmware problems with their SOHO routers. New firmware has been issued for some routers, in which case a firmware upgrade may take care of the problem. Others do not have a good firmware available and may need to be replaced.

The firmware on the routers in question reports a TCP window size of 0 on port 1723. This can be seen readily with a packet sniffer on the client side.
