error 800: unable to establish the vpn connection

Hi there

at work i have to set up a vpn connection in to the office so that an employee can work from home each weekend.

i was setting up the vpn this morning and i got a error 800 message, now i have phoned my isp and they have changed nothing at their side.

can someone please give me some advice on how i would amend this error. i need to have it resolved a.s.a.p.

i have set this up every friday for the past 6months with absolutely no problems, but today it jst refuses to connect.

please help!

In most cases, VPN error 800 is port isue. Noramlly, the ISP doesn't block these ports. do a simple test, can you telnet port 1723?

Thanks for your reply, it turns out that the routing and remote access had been disabled in the administration console, dont know why or how this happened.
