I wrote a program in vb6. Using the Package and Deployment Wizard I wound up with two floppies to distribute the program. I installed the program in the another directory of my computer using these disks. The program installed and ran fine. As a check, I tried to install the program into another computer. The installation program said the program I wrote installed correctly and the program is in the second computer. However, when I try to run the program the second computor comes up with a Message Box stating "Error #76, Path not found.
I've done everything that I can think of, but I can't get the program to run.

Any ideas?
help!

I would probably start by checking the application's source code for any hard coded paths by searching for "\" as in "C:\". If you have a hardcoded path, you may need to change it to a relative pathing, or store the required path in the registry or an ini file.
Also, did the error message give you any more information other than "Path Not Found"? A target file name or procedure in which the error occurred would be very helpful. Also, do you have Visual Basic installed on the second computer? If you do, run the source code there with the "Break on all errors" activated. That way, if it is your souce code, you will know the exact line of the error. - Jeff Marler
