Error 678 with windows client

i'm trying to connect to a W2k3 web edition with a PPTP vpn connection. port 1723 is forwarded to the server and protocol 47 was allowed on the firewall.
I always get error 678 with a windows client, with a linux client it does work.

I'm all out of ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated!
