I am getting error #619 stating my port couldnt connect and this has been happening off and on with my ISP ever since I installed Win2000 but it wasnt much of a problem till a couple days ago where I couldnt work around this error and now I am unable to connect to my ISP at all. I tried reformatting, that didnt help, I tried taking the modem out and putting it into another machine that runs Windows ME and it worked just fine.

My Machine Specs:
XP 1700+
MSI K7N420Pro
1x256 Meg pc-2100 DDR
Geforce 3
AOpen FM56-PM 56k Modem in PCI Slot #4

ISP Service: NoCharge
I really need help with this ASAP cause I dont want to install WinME on my other machine =(

I got this error in WinXP with a supramax 56i modem. I added init string AT&F+MR=1;+MS=V34,0 and that fixed the problem, though I am now only connecting at a v34 speed, but it's not much slower than v90 and hey i don't have to go get a new modem while I wait to afford DSL!

Hello, I couldnt help but notice why you were connecting at v34. You will notice that in this string: AT&F+MR=1;+MS=V34,0

"MS=V34"

Change "MS=V34" To "MS=V90" and you will connect at 56k rates.

My guess would be that you are not installing Win2K drivers for it.
