I’m running Goldmine 6.7 (Dbase) and Crystal Reports 9.0 Pro
I set up the following ODBC connections and entered their
names in Goldmine- see attached jpg:
All 3 ODBC Connections use Microsoft Dbase Driver with DBASE level IV selected:
GMROOT points to: GoldMine Root Directory which contains Users.dbf, etc.
GMBASE points to GMBASE
GMDATA points to a Random Folder containing a GM Contact Database File, etc.
When I go into Crystal Reports (9.0), I choose ODBC type (I do not enter a password) and choose GMDATA select my tables, in this example, just Contact1 and simply insert the Company field and save the Crystal Report, un checking the save data option.
When I try and print the Report in Goldmine i get the 536 error,
see attached jpg
My understanding is that I’m not suppose to include user id
and password information when the ODBC connection is DBASE, only when SQL?
Any help would be appreciated, although I did notice that in GoldMine 7.x release it notes there was a bug where GM wasn’t passing login information correctly to ODBC / Crystal?
~ Thanks
