hi all -

we have an in-house app developed by a guy who's not here any more. he used some version of delphi/paradox to create it and it looks like it connects to an MS Access db. i'm afraid i don't know what version it is.

we've installed it dozens of times on Win98-Win2k machines without incident.

but now we've tried to install it on an XP machine and we're having this problem when we go to display a report to the screen:

Error: 532 Cannot find Database DLL / Execute <PEStartPrintJob>

any ideas? is it just a driver problem? please help!

Just a shot in the dark, but the DLL's in XP are probably in a different place than in Win98/2K. There may be a constant that defines where to look for the DLL it wants to use and it can't find it. If you knew name of the DLL you could probably recreate the correct path of folders and drop the DLL in the right subdirectory as a work-around.

Mac :)

Thanks Langley -

You were right. The InstallShield was compiled before XP was released, so a couple folders get sent to the wrong place during installation. We figured out where they belong and now we're up and running again!
