error 4813 .snapshot replication. please help!!

hi there,

i'm running snapshot replication between 2 databases on 2 remote servers.
i use the DEFAULT options. but it always seem to fail.
i get the following message:

"error 4813"

Expected the text length in data stream for bulk copy of text, ntext, or image data."

this also appeared in the error details:

last_command: select * from "tblRegNoSkillCodes" where 1 = 2


all the other articles seem to replicate ok except for the same article.
i tried dropping the publication and then reselecting it.
what else can i do??
