If you renumber Inventory Item Numbers in Item Maintenance, the Error 47 in SOWJAA line 6077 occurs during Sales Journal Update if the Inventory Item Numbers are in use on a Drop Ship Sales Order or PO Drop Ship Order.
Steps to Duplicate:
In the ABC company:
1. Open IM / Main / Inv Maintenance, and create a new part number TEST2.
2. Open SO / Main / SO Entry. Create a new order for 01-AVNET with a Drop Ship Line for the TEST2 part.
3. Open PO / Main / PO Entry. Create a new Drop Ship PO for the order created in step 2.
4. Open PO / Main / Receipt of Invoice Entry. Receive this PO and update the Receipt Register. The error log generates but unable to update indicating "An Invalid or missing inventory item has been found: Test2".
5. Open SO / Main / Invoice Data Entry. Create an invoice for the sales order created and update the journal. Prior to version 4.1, the error "Error 47 SOWJAA 6077" occurs. In version 4.10, an error log is generated but unable to update indicating "A Not on File Item Code was found: TEST2".
Expected Behavior:
The 'Renumber' button should be disabled if any activity exists on the item, including drop-shipped sales orders or drop-shipped purchase orders.
Possible Workaround:
1. Delete the line, and enter a new line using the correct part number.
2. Re-enter the Part Number in Inventory Maintenance.
3. Disable the 'Renumber' button for the 'Inventory Maintenance' window through Custom Office and use the Renumber Utility for all changes.
