Error 4198 1

Good morning all,

I have 2 6750 units which will not carry through a full synchronization. One leaves the Tasks incomplete while the other refuses to incorporate the user's personal contacts into the Address Book (the corporate Global Address List syncs just fine, in contrast). For the latter, the Personal Address List doesn't sync regardless of whether it is set as default or not.

Both report error 4198 in the sync log.

In the past, I was able to resolve this by unchecking all options under the Configure PIM choices, closing the BDM, relaunching BDM, checking all options back on again and re-syncing. This didn't work for these units.


Any ideas?
 
do a search of the " Intellisyn " folder when you found it under the Document & setting then open the Intellisync folder , highlight all the files and folders then delete them all , resynch the device. try out if still not working then update the SP2 or create the new MS profile sometimes the old profile doesnot talk to the Outlook.

The removal of all files in the Intellisync files and folders did the trick for 2 users who had synchronization problems with Notes and Tasks.
