Moving on from my previous thread...
On closer investigation of the 403 ('Forbidden') errors in the log file, I was half expecting to see attempts to access to folders rather than files within those folders. As any ability to browse folder content should be blocked, this would have explained the errors.
However, this is not the case. All the references are to valid files within the folders and the only thing they would appear to have in common is that they relate to a HEAD request rather than a GET request.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why these HEAD requests may be triggering the errors?
