Error 4014 1

SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition x64, SP2.

Every 15 minutes, I am getting the following error:
Error: 4014, Severity: 20, State: 2
A fatal error occurred while reading the input stream from the network. The session will be terminated.

Any insight to this would be appreciated.

Are you using SSIS at all and do you have any rough idea where the error is being generated from?

Yes, using SSIS heavily. No idea where it's being generated from. It does seem to occur exactly every fifteen minutes, give or take 10 seconds or so. It doesn't seem to be triggered by an SSIS package running.

Have you got package logging turned on? Only time I've seen this is SSIS - check the timings and if it is in kilter with when one of your packages is running then that might be the issue. No harm in turning the logging on anyway as it will give the notion towards any errors anyway, relevant or not.

Good idea. I do have it turned on, and I'll give it a look.
